The path of wine through time

1980s
The beginning of life on the estate in Šumadija The Cilić family arrives on the hill beneath Crni Vrh. The place, which was then a retreat for rest, later became the foundation for orchards, vineyards, and wine production.

1986
Start of brandy distillation Zoran Cilić launches serious distillation, establishing the brand “M&M Fruit Brandies.” The first fairs and accolades soon follow, with an emphasis on the quality of raw materials and slow distillation.

1990–2000
Consolidation of land and raising of vineyards The family invests in expanding the estate and carefully plants grape varieties on different rootstocks. The focus is on quality, microclimate, and the selection of the variety for each plot.

2012
Opening of the winery for visits CILIĆ Estate opens its doors for individual and group visits. Tastings, promotions, team-building events, and wine workshops are organized.

2025
18 ha of vineyards and a modern winery A modern and functional winery with stainless steel tanks and barrels of Serbian and French oak. The wines are layered and characterful, with a clearly defined style.
The joint work of father and son, two different generations, two different enological schools, on one project – Cilić Estate. In parallel, the Cilić family expanded its consulting activities outside of Serbia, and soon outside of Europe. Activities and hobbies intertwined, connected, permeated, and brought new ideas that largely coincided with the development of the new wave in Serbian winemaking. With the consolidation of parcels, more serious vine plantings also emerged.

Family estate with soul

In the beginning, the Cilić estate was just a place to escape the city, a nook for gathering and relaxation. But over time, out of that love for nature, orchards, vineyards, and the first steps in wine production spontaneously sprang up. Two generations, father and son, merged experience and vision into one family project – Cilić Estate.

Passion translated into process

Our approach to winemaking is based on a blend of tradition and modern enological principles. From the correct selection of plots and varieties, through careful processing, to controlled fermentation and aging of the wine in selected oak – every step is carefully designed to preserve the character of the vineyard and the terroir

Authentic wines from the heart of Šumadija

Cilić wines conquer with their authenticity, balanced style, and pronounced character. The first vintages directed us towards a profile to which we remain faithful – layered wines with fullness of taste and freshness, which evolve every year, yet preserve their recognizable signature.

Our estate opened its doors for individual and group visits back in October 2012, and since then we have gladly welcomed all true lovers of wine and authentic ambiance. In the pleasant atmosphere of the vineyards and the cellar, we offer:

  • Classic tastings of current vintages from our offer,

  • Educational workshops and thematic tastings (including vertical tastings),

  • Organization of team building gatherings with wine content,

  • Promotions, professional seminars, and wine presentations.

Also, our space is ideal for celebrating more intimate events – from christenings and birthdays to weddings and family gatherings.

Cilić Winery

The winery and distillery are located in the heart of the Cilić Estate, surrounded by vineyards from east to west. The winery has been open to individual and group visits since October 2012.
